New comics!
The Amazing Spider-Man #59
My Little Pony: Nightmare Knights #5
Geiger #7 - This is a standout from random indie comics with edgey covers
Transformers #13
Fantastic Four #26
So I was listening to songs from Despicable Me and noticed that Pharrell Williams had a Lego OC as his profile picture on Youtube. It intrigued me, and I learned that Pharrell Williams was having his biopic, Piece by Piece, done in Lego. I talked about this out loud enough times that all the computers in the world decided I should get free tickets to an advance screening. That was really cool! The movie was great, a little exhausting though because it had no conflict. Literal rainbows and dance parties the whole time. I was wondering what warranted its rating of PG (Parental Guidance Suggested) and it’s most likely the Lego versions of music videos that featured bikini girls pouring champagne on each other and also the Lego drug deal in the third act.
Plastic Man No More! #2 (2024)
A really good use of mixing up art styles for dramatic effect, it’s like a Nicktoon

New comics!
Poison Ivy #26 - I looked into it and this series has been upgraded to on-going, which is great!. When I first started this blog it was only supposed to be a few issues.
Marc Spector: Moon Knight #29
Plastic Man No More! #2 - this being on Black Label let’s me know it’s going to get body horror gross considering I don’t think Plastic Man is having much sex
Cruel Universe #3 - We are enjoying anthology horror as well!
Cult of the Lamb #4
The Man of Steel #2
I just had MANY hotdogs while crossing into the Midwest. Chicago dogs are not my thing. Some things I don’t get, and that’s fine, but Chicago hot dogs just feel wrong. I don’t like pickles, which is fine, but fundamentally speaking there’s just too much pickle on this to still consider it a hotdog. The pickles are bigger than the dogs, is this a pickle sandwich? Some people don’t consider corndogs to be hotdogs, and I think they’re wrong, but this is a further departure from platonic hotdogness in my opinion. So, you won’t see a picture of one below. I took a picture of the cool place where I got the Chicago dog (Wolfy’s), but I don’t want to feature that abomination on this page. Instead, here is a picture of a chilidog (ok, polish sausage) I got in Toledo.

I was in Chicago recently. Mostly doing a hot dog tour, not a huge fan of pickles though. Might share some of those dogs next week. A friend of mine does the river tours on the river, he showed me this famous set from a particular comic film, can you guess the film?
I’ll give you a hint, why so serious???
