Comic Haul week of June 11th, 2024
New comics!
Red Hood: The Hill #5
High on Life #1 - this turned out to be a tie-in with that really unfunny game about the talking guns and this is one of the few comics that I couldn’t even finish reading
All-New X-Men #5
Fantastic Four #21
Did you know they played films at The Filmore? They got the folding chairs out and everything!
Andrew Callaghan of Channel 5 worked on an independent film that I suspect wasn’t released before since he was going through a cancelation for being a douchebag in college. “Sex Pest” allegations. The movie was really good, and I feel that he was able to transcend his pattern of just showing a freak show for laughs. If “Dear Kelly” ever gets a wide release, I recommend checking it out. It focuses on how people turn to radical politics when aspects of their life fall apart, but also highlights how these vulnerable people had some issues to begin with that get amplified in times of turmoil, and get twisted and crazy.

New comics!
Harley Quinn #37
Phantom Road #9 - I picked up a few of these randomly before and had a great time! I think my old issues with a friend in New Orleans now. It’s by the same person who did Gideon Falls.
All-New X-Men #38 - Been touring a lot of random X-Men serieses. They range from corny to horny and they’re always really dramatic.
The Invincible Iron Man #15
W0rldtr33 #8
The Amazing Spider-Man #44 - is THIS the crossover finale?
The dog and I are continuing our quest for local sandwiches. This is the Bobby, from Capriotti’s. When I looked up iconic food from Delaware, this was the only thing that popped up besides “crabs”. It’s just a thanksgiving sandwich, not sure why they’re pretending that they invented it but I’m happy to eat it year-round. The dog and I shared a foot-long and then slept for 14 hours.
